Write a two-page Persuasive Research paper (500 words, double spaced – about two pages in a Word document) on a topic that is a debatable issue. Follow the steps outlined below:
Select one side of the debatable issue to defend. Research your topic, taking notes as you read. Include information from your research to support your arguments.
You must use at least three sources to develop your argument. The information from these research sources, used as quotes or paraphrased ideas within your essay, will add strength to your arguments and help you avoid plagiarism. Remember, these sources must be reliable and credible.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to give credit to your source(s) by citing them correctly in the text of your paper and on a Reference Page at the end of your paper.
The Reference Page at the end of your paper must provide complete citations for all research sources used within your paper. Use the APA style format provided in your textbook and the resources provided on the main course page.
Note:  You must use sources that are reliable and credible
The information from your research, used as quotes or paraphrased ideas, adds strength and authority to your arguments.  However, most of the writing on the paper should be yours.  Not more than 5-10% of the paper should be quoted.
Be sure to give the credit to your source(s) by citing them correctly in both the text of your paper and in the “Reference” section at the end of your paper.
f)       Include your “References” list at the end of your essay that gives the complete citation for all of the research sources you actually used in the paper. Use the APA Sixth Edition style format.
